What a Difference One Month Makes

Australian average petrol prices could hit $1.50 within a week and the interest rate is set to rise again. This is said to be due to the world oil prices hitting the record price of $US100 a barrel.

Lattenomics wonders that only about one month ago high petrol prices and interest rates were the John Howard’s government’s fault. Now that Howard is gone, both are caused by the world oil prices. Incredible!
