Sounds very promising if true:
Researchers in Wyoming report development of a low-cost carbon filter that can remove 90 percent of carbon dioxide gas from the smokestacks of electric power plants that burn coal and other fossil fuels. Their study is scheduled for the May 21 issue of ACS’ monthly journal, Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research.
Coal power stations are the biggest source of man-made CO2 emissions. If this technology is proven to work, it can reduce power station emissions by 90% at a very low cost and without any need for carbon trading. This can bury the now popular emissions trading treaties and “solve” (that’s if you think Global Warming is a problem) Global Warming crisis almost completely.
Something tells me that environmentalists will be dead against it…
